The goal of Northern Lights Tarot and our readings is to empower, give inspiration, hope, strength, and when appropriate, advice. The readings stand well grounded in tradition of tarot as well as intuition and claircognizans. And the messages are derived as they appear, with honesty and non-judgment. We will not give false hope or advice on subjects where we have no information or knowledge.

Remember, our own free will reigns supreme. A Tarot reading is not an absolute; it is a reflection of a specific moment, situation, or issue. Your future is shaped by your choices and actions. Tarot offers guidance, not a predetermined course.

You should only purchase a tarot reading from us if you trust the process and principle of a tarot reading. Approach the reading with an open heart, and embrace the journey!

Confidentiality:

Your privacy is paramount; we guarantee complete confidentiality of all your shared secrets and information.

We do not read about:

• “Yes/No” questions
• Timeline questions (When? Will I ever..?)
• Questions relating to medical issues, pregnancy and legal matters
• Third party readings (what is going on with X and Y?)
• Readings for children

I reserve the right to reject any customer or question without explanation.

No free readings, please don’t ask. Occasionally, free readings are offered to the followers of @northernlightstarot at Instagram, so do give us a follow.

Refunds / Cancellations:

Readings: Once a reading is ordered and paid for, it is final—no refunds or cancellations. Tarot readings are personalized and require significant time, effort, and energy, hence the strict no-refund policy.

I am Johanna Hallin—a author, strategist, and northern witch at the edge of the Arctic. My work lives at a unique intersection where the wild traditions of northern Scandinavia meet modern psychology, lived experience, and a grounded, intuitive practice.

A Well-Traveled Rucksack

My path is built on a foundation of rigor and logic. For over two decades, I operated within the executive circles of the business and research sectors, most recently as a Marketing Director at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden). During those years, I navigated large-scale societal transformations and strategic decision-making across five continents and over 75 countries.

I value that world of evidence and logic deeply. My background in social science, journalism, and psychology—including certification in Positive Psychology Foundations from the University of Pennsylvania—is the foundation I stand upon. I am not "throwing the baby out with the bathwater"; rather, I carry the precision of the researcher into the expansive space of the mythic.

An Expansion into Meaning

In midlife, I reached the limits of what logic and secular frameworks could navigate. My world underwent an expansion, adding dimensions of the unknown to the "bookish landscape" of my past. This shift was catalyzed by a powerful moment of synchronicity involving three women—an activist, a witch, and an angel investor—who led me to the tarot.

This was not a turning away from my intellect, but a homecoming to the landscapes that shaped me. Today, I operate under my own banner as an author, advisor, and guide. My spiritual practice is a synthesis of ancestral northern magic, hedge witchcraft, and the quiet, immediate inner knowing of claircognizance. Through Northern Lights Tarot and my creations—the Northern Lights Strength Deck and Runes from the Edge of the Arctic—I offer a language for the whispers and elements that provide meaning in complex times.

The Crone’s Freedom

Living in northern Sweden, I have embraced what I call Crone’s freedom—a liberation from the demanding gaze of "normie" society. As a woman greying and growing invisible to traditional structures, I have found power in the shadows and the endless light of the Arctic summer.

I am a life-long learner and a "Wise Connected Servant," committed to training the muscles of intuition to remain human-centric in an age of technology. For me, Tarot and Runes are not for "predicting the future," but are sophisticated instruments for creating clarity in the present.
