// Why Work With Strengths? //

The Northern Lights Strenghts Deck is a tool to work with self-exploration and wholeness, based on Character strengths. Scentiests have argued that working with charater strengths “allow us to approach all spiritual components and paradoxes: bridging opposites and including the entire spectrum of experience (e.g., perspective), connectedness/wholeness (e.g., kindness), being able to see beyond cause and effect (e.g., love), allowing identification of the right action, “the next obvious step” (e.g., social intelligence), and seeing through the separate self (e.g., humility).”

This way of looking at it really resonates with me, as a toolbox for working with the complexities and messiness of life. 

But there’s also a more straight forward answer, where the research has shown that active awarenss of ones strengths work to create measurable positive effect in ones life by:

1. Amplifying and growing the positive.
2. Learning from and reframing the negative.
